#PTP
Pass The Pen
A relay writing event for pairs. One pen, two writers, two complete stories that share a thread.
Two writers. One relay.
Team up with one other writer. Writer 1 opens the story, then hands the pen to Writer 2, who picks up the thread and closes it out.
Opens the story
5 – 13 September
Story must begin with #PTP. 800–900 words.
Passes it forward
13 – 21 September
Story must begin with #PTP and “The Story So Far”, a 50–70 word recap of Writer 1’s story. 800–900 words; the recap doesn’t count toward that.
Writing the two stories
Your team
Two writers from Artoonsinn, paired up. Completely new writers are welcome too, but to take part, you’ll need to become a member (not a visitor) by joining.
Complete on its own
Each story must stand on its own merit, with its own plot, conflict, climax and resolution. Don’t write one story and simply split it into two halves.
Connected across the pair
The two stories still link together, with the same key protagonist throughout. That link can be a continuation, a spin-off, the same characters in a new situation, or references to Writer 1’s story.
