ArtoonsInn Writers Room Event Rules
Welcome to the ArtoonsInn Writers Room! Below are the default rules and guidelines for all writing events. These rules may be updated in the future, so we recommend reviewing them whenever a new event is announced.
1. Word Limit
Each writing event has its specific word limit:
- Five00: 450 to 500 words
- UniK: 950 to 1000 words
- Artales: 1500 to 2500 words
Endnotes: Only independent endnotes are excluded from the word count. Examples:
- Excluded: Glossary, Credits, Reference links
- Included: Epilogue, Author Notes (if required to clarify the story), PostScript
2. One Entry Per Person
- Each participant is allowed one entry per event.
- Entries should not be edited until the last day of the month.
- Submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Writers below the age of 15 are not eligible.
- Entries from Mars and Pluto are strictly prohibited!
3. Where and How to Submit Your Entry
Post your entry on the ArtoonsInn Writers Room website at www.prowritersroom.com:
- Sign up if you haven’t already.
- Click the ‘Publish’ button to submit your writing.
- Select the most relevant categories (Genre/Theme).
- Upload a non-copyrighted cover picture (thumbnail). Use www.unsplash.com and include photographer credits at the bottom of your story.

Approval: Submissions will be approved within 1 to 12 hours by the ArtoonsInn Watchers team.
Sharing: Once approved, share the link to your story in the Writers Room Facebook group using the hashtags: #ArtoonsInn #TitleOfTheEvent.
Alternative Submission:
- If you have a personal website hosted by ArtoonsInn Geeks Room, you can publish your story there and directly share the link in the Writers Room Facebook group.
- If you don’t have a website, we recommend starting one with ArtoonsInn Geeks Room for just Rs. 6600. Here are some of the writer websites currently powered by Geeks Room. Click Here. 4. Deadline
Submit your story in the Writers Room Facebook group before 18:00 IST on the 21st of the month. Late entries will not be considered.
Note: Deadlines may vary for certain events. Updated dates will be announced in the Writers Room Facebook group.
5. AI Content
To ensure fair competition, any participant found using AI tools for writing stories will be banned from the Writers Room without prior notice.
6. Keep It Green
We encourage creating a friendly and supportive community. Anyone exhibiting inappropriate behavior may receive an invitation to the Green Room.
Everything about this room is a sacred secret, and its visitors have only one piece of advice: Don’t go there!
7. Rewards & Prizes
Winners and Runner-ups (if applicable) will be announced on Recognition Day, celebrated on the last day of each month. Here’s what they’ll receive:

Winner: Rs. 1500 cash prize.
- Bonus Prize: If the winning entry is published on a personal website hosted by ArtoonsInn Geeks Room, the winner will receive an additional Rs. 1500.
- Important Note: Cash prizes are awarded only if there are a minimum of 18 entries in the event. If fewer than 18 entries, the winner receives two books instead.

Runner-Up: One book.

Certificates: Winner and Runner-up (if applicable) receive certificates. Participation certificates are sent to all participants.
