Event Rules:

1. Word Limit: 600 to 900 words

Endnotes: Only independent endnotes are excluded from the word count. 

  • Excluded: Glossary, Credits, Reference links
  • Included: Epilogue, Author Notes (if required to clarify the story), PostScript

2. One Entry Per Person

  • Each participant is allowed one entry.
  • Entries should not be edited until the last day of the month.
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Writers below the age of 14 are not eligible to participate.

3. Where and How to Submit Your Entry

Method 1:

Post your entry on the ArtoonsInn Writers Room website at www.prowritersroom.com:

  1. Sign up if you haven’t already.
  2. Click the ‘Publish’ button to submit your writing.
  3. Select the most relevant categories (Genre/Theme) and Inntales-4.
  4. Upload a relevant copyright-free image as the cover image for your story.

Approval: Submissions will be approved on the website/Facebook within 1 to 12 hours by the ArtoonsInn Watchers(team).

Sharing: Once approved on the website, share the link to your story in the Writers Room Facebook group and then on your profile using the hashtags: #ArtoonsInn #WritersRoom #Inntales-4

Method 2:

  • If you have a personal website hosted by The Geeks Room, you can publish your story on your own website and directly share the link in the Writers Room Facebook group. The Geeks Room, a web design and SEO company from Hyderabad, India, is the funding entity behind event cash prizes, book prizes, community website maintenance, and support.

4. Deadline

Share your story in the Writers Room Facebook group before 23:30 IST on 21st April 2026. Late entries may not be approved.

5. AI Content 

To ensure fair competition, any participant found using AI tools for writing stories will be banned from the Writers Room without prior notice.

6. Be Friendly

We encourage creating a friendly and supportive community. Anyone exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be banned from the community without any prior notice.

7. Rewards & Prizes

Winners and Runner-ups (if applicable) will be announced on Recognition Day, celebrated on the last day of the month. Here’s what they’ll receive:

  • Winner: Rs. 1500 cash prize. An additional Rs. 1500 will be added, making it a total of Rs. 3000 if their entry is posted on their own website hosted at The Geeks Room.

    Important Note: Cash prizes are awarded only if there is a minimum of 20 entries in this writing event. If fewer than 20 entries, the winner receives two books instead.

  • Runner-Up: A gift will be sent to their Indian address.

  • Participation Certificates: We want to recognize everyone who took part! Please reach out to writers@artoonsinn .com to receive your certificate of participation.
